Priceline eliminates hotel change and cancellation fees

July 01, 2008

Effective immediately, Priceline.com will no longer charge a fee to cancel or change a published-price hotel reservation.

Bookings for Priceline’s name-your-own-price hotel service remain non-cancelable, nonrefundable and non-changeable.

Also, Priceline said it has lowered the booking fee for all published-price hotel reservations. Because Priceline lumps hotel taxes and service fees together when displaying prices, the consumer cannot tell how much lower the booking fee is.
