Oceania Cruises has made several executive appointments in marketing and operations.

Jim Lida, former director of marketing for the Cruise Lines International Association, now has the same position at Oceania. Lida will oversee all marketing campaigns and communications, including brochures, direct mail and fulfillment.

Bruce Engstrom was appointed director of brand management, after have supervised creative teams working on accounts such as Sea World, Disney and Universal Studios. At Oceania, Engstrom will oversee the company’s in-house design team and development of consumer and trade advertising, brochures, direct mail and all aspects of the line’s brand management.

Both Lida and Engstrom report to James Rodriguez, Oceania’s senior vice president of marketing.

Chris Foong was appointed senior vice president of marine operations, responsible for all aspects of ship operations. He will report to Robin Lindsay, executive vice president of vessel operations. Foong was at Norwegian Cruise Line, where he most recently served as senior vice president of technical operations and refurbishment.

Luigi Razeto was named senior director of fleet compliance, charged with ensuring that ships meet or exceed all international regulations and requirements. He most recently was director of safety management systems and quality assurance at Carnival Cruise Lines.

Paolo Mele is now senior director of fleet deck and engine operations. He will manage Oceania’s relationship with V-Ships, the company that provides day-to-day technical management for the fleet. Mele arrives at Oceania after 20 years at Carnival, where he most recently was director of technical operations for the line’s Conquest-class ships.
