Alaska Airlines launches Seattle-Maui route

Alaska Airlines has inaugurated daily, year-round service between Seattle and Kahului, Hawaii, on the island of Maui.

The new flights are operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, accommodating 16 passengers in first class and 141 in the main cabin.

The airline will begin year-round service between Seattle and Kona, on the Big Island of Hawaii, on Nov. 17.

Thrice-weekly service between Anchorage and Maui starts Oct. 31 and ends April 25, 2009.
