Agents earn $23K on plan at Barbuda resort

Lighthouse Bay Resort suiteHere's an offer an agent might not want to refuse: a commission of $23,399 for booking the six-night family reunion package at Barbuda's Lighthouse Bay Resort.

The nine-suite resort allows groups of up to 23 people to "own" the private island for a week. Rates cover accommodations; all meals and drinks; use of the resort's pool; a full-day boat charter, with lunch and use of snorkel gear; an hour of horseback riding; a group cooking class; a beach barbecue and bonfire; and services of a personal photographer and a souvenir photo album to bring home.

In-room amenities include complimentary international phone calls, personal laptops for guests' use and WiFi connection.

The package is available through Aug. 12 with all-inclusive rates starting at $38,999 per night, for up to 23 people. Transfers from Antigua are extra.
