The Las Verandas Hotel and Villas on the island of Roatan off the coast of Honduras, which had a soft opening this spring, is expected to add five villas offering 36 rooms and suites in July.
The resort currently has six villas offering 12 rooms.
Current facilities include a bar and restaurant, two infinity pools, 1,000 feet of beachfront and Black Pearl, the island's first 18-hole golf course. A second restaurant is in the plans.
When completed, the resort will offer a total of 60 rooms and suites, 32 free-standing villas and a 6,000-square-foot spa. Most of the villas will have private pools.
Las Verandas, which is managed by Houston-based Pan Caribbean Capital Partners, is located on Roatan's north shore, near the Mesoamerican Reef for diving and snorkeling.
