Caribbean Zipline park opens on St. Thomas August 16, 2012 Share 1 -- The newest attraction on St. Thomas is almost the highest. Tree Limin' Extreme, the island's first canopy tour/zipline park, is in the rainforest on St. Peter Mountain, just below the Mountain Top sightseeing attraction at 2,100 feet above sea level. The facility includes six ziplines and two sky bridges, covering acres of jungle and terraced gardens. Riders have views of Magens Bay and Jost Van Dyke and Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. The park is open seven days a week; reservations are required for the 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. canopy tours, priced at $99 for adults and $89 for kids from 8 to 17. Each guided tour takes between two and three hours; the staging area is across from the St. Peter Mountain Great House. Off-road vehicles bring customers further up the mountain to the park itself, where the canopy tours begin. Follow Gay Nagle Myers on Twitter @gnmtravelweekly.
