Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. said Tuesday that its chief financial officer has been named to the additional role of vice chairman.

Brian Rice will take on added duties in the supply-chain function and will focus more time on strategic issues, RCCL said. He will continue to oversee the company's finances. Previously, his title had been executive vice president.

Two other senior executives are getting expanded roles. Jason Liberty — currently vice president of corporate, revenue planning and insurance — now becomes senior vice president of strategy and finance.

His areas will include strategic planning, corporate planning, investor relations, deployment and treasury functions.

Royal Caribbean International sales executive Lisa Bauer was given the title of executive vice president of global sales and marketing, a promotion from senior vice president.

As previously disclosed, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo has become executive vice president of operations for Royal Caribbean International, moving over from Celebrity Cruises, where she was in charge of hotel operations.
