British singer to perform at Royal Princess naming

By Tom Stieghorst
BedingfieldPrincess Cruises said pop star Natasha Bedingfeld will be the featured singer at the dedication of the Royal Princess cruise ship in Southampton, England, next month.

Bedingfeld is known for her powerfully soulful voice and heartfelt and contagious pop anthems, such as "Unwritten" and "Pocketful of Sunshine," Princess said.

Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises' executive vice president, said Bedingfeld will add a contemporary touch to the traditional elements of a naming ceremony.

The 3,600-passenger ship will be named June 13 before beginning a series of Mediterranean cruises this summer.
