By Tom Stieghorst
CLIA used the stage of the international travel expo ITB Berlin to announce the formation of CLIA Germany.

The latest regional offshoot under CLIA's new global structure, CLIA Germany will be headquartered in Hamburg and chaired by AIDA Cruises CEO Michael Ungerer.

Other top leaders include vice chairman Michael Zengerle, managing director of MSC Cruises Germany, and national director Helge Grammerstorf, managing director of SeaConsult.

CLIA Germany will focus on stronger relations with travel agents represented by the German Travel Association. Richard Vogel, CEO of TUI Cruises, will be the cruise industry's primary liaison to the travel community.
