Carnival starts selling gift cards

By Tom Stieghorst
Carnival Cruise Lines will make branded gift cards available for the first time this holiday season.

The cards can be loaded with a minimum of $10 and a maximum of $1,000. They can be used toward the cost of a cruise or a variety of shipboard purchases.

The cards can be obtained on Carnival ships or at Carnivalgiftcards.com. Anyone getting a card can redeem it online, via a toll free number or by using it as payment on a "Sail and Sign" card for onboard purchases.
