Celebrity Cruises to display Lawn Club replica in New York

By Tom Stieghorst
Celebrity Cruises said it will set up a replica of its Lawn Club in New York's bustling Grand Central Terminal on June 10 and 11.

The Lawn Club, with its half-acre of real grass, is the chief attraction on the top deck of Celebrity's five Solstice-class ships.

Celebrity's display will be set up in Vanderbilt Hall, a 12,000-square-foot waiting area adjacent to the terminal's soaring main concourse.

Commuters can play croquet or have their pictures taken in an oversized Adirondack chair that is part of the Lawn Club furniture.

The display will coincide with a two-day fare sale. A sweepstakes will offer a chance for a Celebrity cruise to Bermuda for anyone participating in a Lawn Club activity.
