Celebrity Infinity to sail to Antarctica in 2010

Celebrity Cruises will offer its first Antarctica sailings in 2010 on the Celebrity Infinity.

The 2,050-passenger Infinity will homeport in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for two 14-day Antarctica sailings departing on Jan. 31 and Feb. 14.

The Infinity’s Antarctica sailings will cruise past Elephant Island, Paradise Bay and Gerlache Strait. Those sailings will also sail through Cape Horn and call at Port Stanley, Falkland Islands; Ushuaia and Puerto Madryn, Argentina; and Montevideo, Uruguay.

The Infinity will sail eight South America sailings during the season, leaving from Fort Lauderdale; Valparaiso, Chile; and Buenos Aires.
