CruiseOne and Cruises Inc. unveiled redesigned websites that show real-time supplier promotions.
Consumers searching sample itineraries are now able to see “the best possible pricing,” said the sister companies, in addition to national promotions with available amenities such as onboard credits, prepaid gratuities and free shore excursions.
“These sites will take online travel planning to an entirely new level and combine the most innovative technology with the personal service we pride ourselves on,” said Dwain Wall, senior vice president and general manager of the companies, which are owned by World Travel Holdings.
“Today’s tech-savvy consumers should not have to choose between booking online and working with a travel agent. While our sites have always allowed our customers to book online, by enhancing the site design, layout and content, we are offering the best of both worlds,” Wall said.
The web site upgrades were rolled out at CLIA’s Cruise3sixty conference in Fort Lauderdale.
CruiseOne and Cruises Inc. this year mark their 20th and 30th anniversaries, respectively, Wall noted to agents at the event.
“The cruise industry continues showing resiliency, especially in the face of adversity,” said Wall. “With the resurgence of the travel agent receiving national attention, increased capacity with 14 new ships hitting the market in 2012, and continued consumer demand, our business is rapidly growing.”
