New itineraries and port calls and a "Royal Rendezvous" in Southampton, England, are among the highlights of Cunard's 2012-13 cruise program.
The line's flagship Queen Mary 2 will continue to sail its signature transatlantic crossings in 2012, including 19 seven-day voyages between New York and Southampton and six nine-day, extended crossings between New York and Hamburg, Germany.
On its Mediterranean sailings, the QM2 will make maiden calls in Malaga and Valencia, Spain. The ship will return to New York in fall 2012 for two Canada and New England voyages, including one with an overnight stay in Quebec City, and a holiday sailing to the Caribbean.
Cunard's newest ship, the Queen Elizabeth, will operate a fall Mediterranean program with 12-day cruises roundtrip from Athens, Venice or Rome. It also will operate two Holy Land cruises.
In early 2013, the QE will offer a series of Panama Canal transits and new voyages to the South Pacific and New Zealand, including maiden calls in Hilo, Hawaii; Bora Bora, French Polynesia, and Christchurch, New Zealand.
The Queen Victoria will be homeported in Southampton in 2012 and will operate a new, 20-day cruise to the Black Sea and Turkey, with maiden calls in Casablanca, Morocco, and Constanza, Bulgaria.
Cunard's Royal Rendezvous is set for June 5, 2012, when all three Cunard Queens will meet in Southampton to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
