Delta to add outdoor terraces at Sky Clubs in Atlanta and New York

Delta Sky DeckDelta will develop the airline's first outdoor airport terrace, called the Sky Deck, at the Delta Sky Club at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta and New York Kennedy airports.

The outdoor terrace will provide "unprecedented runway views," according to Tim Mapes, Delta's senior vice president, marketing.

The rooftop terrace at Kennedy will be in the airline's new $1.2 billion expansion of Terminal 4, scheduled to open in May.

The new space in Atlanta will be adjacent to the Delta Sky Club in Concourse F and will open this summer.

Delta has partnered with Architectural Digest and designer Thom Filicia to design the terraces.
