Disney Cruise Line said it will offer four- and eight-day cruises from Galveston, Texas, on the Disney Magic, starting in February 2013.

An eight-day cruise to the Bahamas will also go to Port Canaveral, Fla., allowing for a shore excursion to Orlando parks. Included in the fare for the cruise will be a one-day Disney World Park Hopper ticket and roundtrip transportation between Port Canaveral and the resort.

Galveston Port Director Mike Mierzwa said that cruise would bring a new dimension to the port's cruise offerings.

The four-night cruises will offer a more affordable price point for many families, he said.

The new itineraries supplement six-night Western Caribbean voyages aboard the Magic, which are scheduled to start from Galveston later this month.

Later in 2013, the Disney Wonder is scheduled to sail seven-night cruises from Galveston to Grand Cayman, Costa Maya and Cozumel.
