Stelios Haji-Ioannou stepped down from his role as EasyCruise CEO and will remain as non-executive chairman.

The no-frills Greek cruise line appointed Fotis Kalatzis its new CEO. Kalatzis spent years as CEO for Procter & Gamble and was president and CEO of the Prestige & Professional Care division at Wella Corp., a manufacturer of hair care and styling products.

EasyCruise said Kalatzis will lead an expansion initiative.

“Fotis brings to the table a wealth of knowledge selling and promoting products and services at an emotional level, and that is what we need to do with EasyCruise,” said Haji-Ioannou. “We now have an offering that is carving its way into a niche area, offering the best of Greece in one cruise. We have a great brand which is getting rave reviews, and now is the time to push forward and grow the business, which is where Fotis will come into his own.”
