HAL upgrades selling tools for Alaska cruises

Holland America Line said it has upgraded several selling tools for its Alaska cruises and cruise tours.

They include simpler navigation on the line's website, new brochures, videos that go in-depth into Alaska and the Yukon, and expanded tools at the travel agent website.

Among other things, agents can search by journey type, days at Denali National Park, ship, departure date or port, and even specific glaciers a guest may want to see.

“By developing these new tools and making our website more user-friendly, it’s easier for travel sellers to assist their clients in picking their ideal Alaska and Yukon vacation," said Rick Meadows, HAL's executive vice president of sales.

HAL said its new line of e-brochures, which can be e-mailed to clients, "has a new richer experiential feel to it."
