Broadway actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth was revealed as the godmother of Royal Caribbean International's Quantum of the Seas on Sunday's Oscars telecast.
Chenoweth stepped out of a limousine and onto a red carpet in a Royal Caribbean ad to make the announcement.
The ad was placed in the pre-show coverage of the Oscars in which Chenoweth was the main celebrity interviewer.
Quantum, which was named three weeks ago, is due in late 2014. Little else has been revealed about the ship. Royal Caribbean announced it as Project Sunshine, with a capacity of 4,100 passengers and a pricetag over $1 billion.
Chenoweth, who has also worked in film and on TV, won a Tony award in 1999 for her performance as Sally in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," and has also received acclaim for originating the role of Glinda in the musical "Wicked."
