Lindblad Expeditions will mark the 125th anniversary of the National Geographic Society's foundation with cruises to the Canadian Maritimes and to South America.
The eight-day Canadian cruise, departing Sept. 7, will visit eastern Canada and Newfoundland. An expedition will be led by National Geographic Society chairman-emeritus Gil Grosvenor, who will host a private lunch on the grounds of his family's estate.
The 38-day Epic South America voyage departs Sept. 18 and will visit eight countries and three rivers (Amazon, Orinoco, Essequibo).
Both cruises will utilize the 148-passenger National Geographic Explorer ship.
Lindblad and the National Geographic Society have had an alliance to do expedition cruises since 2004.
