NCL lets customers jump-start the check-in process

By Johanna Jainchill

Norwegian Cruise Line launched an online check-in system to allow passengers to input information to speed up the boarding process.

The system, available at the line's new My NCL portal, allows passengers to fill out a check-in form, make shore excursion reservations and print a cruise ticket. Passengers can use the system from the time they make their reservation until 24 hours prior to departure.

The guest check-in form on My NCL is intuitive -- a customer is alerted about the appropriate documentation required based on the customer's nationality and itinerary.

Travel agents can access the My NCL portal through NCL’s travel partner website, BookNCL.com, to check the status of their client’s pre-cruise activity and to assist in the process.
