Norwegian Cruise Line will drop scheduled port calls in Egypt on its 10- and 11-day cruises from Nov. 21 to April 17, after getting feedback from guests about unrest there.

Norwegian said Egyptian cities remain viable port calls "at the present time," but that voyages on the Norwegian Jade after Nov. 21 will go elsewhere.

It said the Jade’s 10-day cruise will now call in Istanbul and Naples, and the 11-day cruise will call in Crete and Naples.

Several other cruise lines have dropped port calls in Egypt and Tunisia since Sept. 11, when a U.S. consulate in Libya was attacked by an armed group.
