Pride America renovated suitePride of America will get $30 million of upgrades, Norwegian Cruise Line said Wednesday.

The 2,124-passenger ship will get 24 new suites, including 22 family suites that range between 363 and 416 square feet, along with two 565-square foot owner's suites. Some of the suites will have exceptionally large balconies, Norwegian said.

Pride, which sails Hawaii cruises, will enter drydock on March 13 in Honolulu.

All of the new suites and staterooms will go on sale Oct. 1, for sailings beginning Sept. 7, 2013.

Other improvements include four new studios for solo travelers and a makeover of several restaurants. Pride's renovations also include new carpeting throughout; flat-screen televisions in all staterooms; updated decor; upgrades to the fitness center; new directional signage; and renovations to the gift shop, photo gallery and art gallery.
