A group of Barack Obama supporters have chartered the Regal Empress to take them to the presidential inauguration.

Several Florida news sources have reported that 1,100 people will sail on the 55-year-old ship, which is operated by Imperial Majesty Cruise Line.

When not transporting Obama supporters, the Regal Empress sails two- and three-day cruises from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas.

The “Yes We Can” cruise is a more affordable alternative to paying airfare and an inflated sum for a hotel room.

According to reports, the vessel leaves Florida on Friday, Jan. 16, and four days later will arrive in the Port of Baltimore. Passengers will be bused to Washington the next day for the inauguration.
