Obituary: Azamara blogger Bill Leiber

By Tom Stieghorst
Bill Leiber, a cruise executive who in recent years wrote a blog for Azamara Club Cruises, has died at his home in California.

Holding the unusual title of chief blogging officer, Leiber had spearheaded Azamara’s social media marketing since 2010. Prior to working for Azamara, he had held positions at several luxury lines, including Silversea, Seabourn and Cunard Line.

Leiber also had been a sales vice president at Norwegian Cruise Line in the 1980s.

Azamara CEO Larry Pimentel said Leiber had been in hospice care. No services are planned at the moment, except for the family, Pimentel said.
