MIAMI -- Temptress Adventure Cruises will ring in the holidays with
two Panama Canal sailings.
The Christmas itinerary departs Dec. 20, and the New Year's trip
departs Dec. 27.
The seven-night Christmas cruise calls at Corcovado National
Park, Costa Rica, and in Panama at Coiba Island, Islas Perlas, San
Blas Islands, Hollandaise Cayes and Colon.
At Corcovado National Park, guests can go bird-watching,
kayaking, swimming or snorkeling.
During the transit of the Panama Canal, a narrator will talk about
the history, culture and politics of the canal.
The New Year's voyage departs Colon and stops at the San Blas
Islands, Hollandaise Cayes and Islas Perlas as well as Portobelo,
Darien and Balboa, Panama.
In Portobelo, options include a walking tour of the village,
diving or swimming.
A trip to Portobelo National Park, a Spanish fort, is planned
for the afternoon.
During the Darien port call, passengers will board Zodiacs or
traditional boats and sail up the Sambu River for
bird-watching.
Also on tap is a visit to a local Indian tribe.
For the Christmas sailing, the cruise-only rate starts at $1,195
per person, double, for category one accommodations.
For suite accommodations, the price starts at $2,995 per person,
double.
