Luxury cruise line Compagnie du Ponant has named Miguel Rodriguez head of the reservations department at its U.S. sales office in Miami.
The company opened the office last month in an effort to penetrate the North American market.
Most recently, Rodriguez was Celebrity Cruises' district sales manager for Boston and northern New England. Before that, he worked in sales at Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity.
At Compagnie du Ponant, he will be responsible for managing all incoming requests for reservations, groups and charters.
The Marseille, France-based cruise line operates three ships: 64-passenger yacht Le Ponant, 90-passenger yacht Le Levant and 226-passenger Le Diamant.
