Princess Cruises added two itineraries and expanded an existing one in its slate of Down Under cruises for the 2012-13 season.

The 2,678-passenger Diamond Princess will sail six, 14-day cruises between December 2012 and February 2013, from Sydney to Auckland. This itinerary previously was 12 days. The expanded voyage added two port calls: Picton and Wellington.

Also new is an 11-day Queensland cruise aboard the 1,998-passenger Dawn Princess, which will enable passengers to view the solar eclipse in northern Australia on Nov. 14, 2012.

And Princess is debuting a 33-day Round Australia and New Zealand grand tour on the Sea Princess, which will sail roundtrip from Sydney on Oct. 18, 2012, and features both Australia and the North & South Islands of New Zealand.

A new seven-night add-on land tour features a train ride into the Outback from Adelaide aboard the historic Ghan Railway.
