Royal names new senior vice president of marketing

Royal Caribbean International appointed Carol Schuster as its senior vice president of marketing. The line said Schuster had a "proven track record and extensive background in building global brands, as well as new market entry."

Schuster most recently ran a marketing and brand consultancy and spearheaded the China launch of Lafayette 148 New York, a women's luxury apparel company. Previously she was the worldwide marketing director of global brand management for Ogilvy and Mather, an advertising agency, and was an executive with ad agency D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles.

Royal said she would oversee all aspects of marketing for the line, including brand strategy and positioning; consumer and trade advertising; digital and social media; and one-to-one and loyalty marketing.
