Silversea Cruises launches movie streaming service

By Tom Stieghorst
Silversea Cruises has launched a free service that streams movies and live television news programming to WiFi-enabled devices. The service is available to passengers on the Silver Cloud.

Users have access to a library of classic and recent feature films, with more than 80% offered in five languages: English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.

"This new streaming media service will fit seamlessly with our guests' increasingly technology-driven lifestyle," said Steve Odell, Silversea's president for Europe and Asia-Pacific.

By the end of the year, Silversea said it would offer the service on the Shadow, Wind, Whisper and Silver Galapagos ships.
