Silversea augments spa services on new ship

By Jerry Limone

The 8,300 square-foot spa on Silversea’s new ship, the 540-passenger Silver Spirit, will be the largest in the cruise line’s fleet. The Spirit is set to debut later this month.

The spa will have a beauty salon, fitness center, nine treatment rooms, two sauna rooms and two steam rooms.

A ceramic-tiled thermal suite with heated lounge chairs will be adjacent to a private hammam (Turkish bath).

An outdoor relaxation area will be open to all guests at no charge and will offer bar service, enabling guests to enjoy a drink while soaking the large whirlpool.

The Silver Spirit will offer a variety of new medi-spa treatments, including Botox, Restylane and Perlane injections; acupuncture therapy; and Chinese herbal medicine.

A DIY (do it yourself) scrub bar will enable guests to choose their own exfoliating blend of scrub ingredients before they begin the DIY process.
