Silversea focuses on increasing agent sales

Silversea Cruises said it has nearly completed a travel agent sales initiative focused on six North American cities.

The luxury cruise line said its sales team scheduled visits with more than 360 agencies in Vancouver, Toronto, Washington, Boston, Seattle and Portland. The sales blitz began April 1 and is expected to conclude later this week.

Silversea also launched a sweepstakes and a multifaceted marketing initiative called Partner for Success. Agents can gain a sweepstakes entry for each Silversea cruise sold until the end of the year.

The prize is a Mercedes-Benz sedan. Each entry also qualifies the client for a chance to win a seven-day cruise in 2014.
