Cruise Silversea Cruises president Bettridge leaves for Sandals By Tom Stieghorst / December 10, 2013 Share 1 -- Silversea Cruises' president for the Americas, Ellen Bettridge, will leave the company, effective Dec. 16. She has been named president of Unique Vacations, the marketing and sales arm for Sandals Resorts International, effective Jan. 6.Bettridge replaces Kevin Froemming, who left Unique Vacations in November for Playa Hotels & Resorts. She will be based in Miami. Bettridge has been in her position at Silversea for less than two years. She arrived at Silversea in March 2012 from American Express, where she was vice president of the U.S. retail travel network. She had been with American Express in various roles for more than 20 years.Silversea named sales vice president Kristian Anderson as Bettridge’s successor as general manager of the Fort Lauderdale office. Anderson also becomes senior vice president of sales for North America. He will report to Enzo Visone, Silversea CEO.
