Grande Caribe travel42 Professional Ship Review
The Grande Caribe coastal ship began service in 1997, the creation of master Rhode Island shipbuilder Luther Blount, who built small ships until his death in 2006. Compared to most coastal vessels, plain and simple remain the operative descriptions. The vessel was purpose-designed to traverse the narrow canals of the New York State Canal System. The vessel was refurbished in 2009 with new furnishings, audiovisual equipment in the lounge and much improved baths.
