At 101,353 tons and 893 ft, the Carnival Sunshine
has a beam of 116 ft, a draft of 27 ft and a cruising speed of 22.5 knots. It debuted in 1996 as the world's largest cruise ship but has since been surpassed many times.
Originally named Carnival Destiny, the ship underwent a US$155 million refit in 2013, which was the biggest renovation Carnival had ever attempted. The ship was rechristened Carnival Sunshine after it emerged from the refurbishment.
