The 684-passenger Insignia returned to Oceania Cruises' fleet in May 2014 after a two-year charter to Hapag-Lloyd Cruises.
Along with its two sisters, the Regatta and Nautica, the Insignia underwent a $50 million refurbishment during an extensive dry dock prior to rejoining the fleet, giving the ship many of the interior design elements from Oceania's newest vessels, the Marina and Riviera. The upgrades are part of the largest refurbishment program in the cruise line's history.
