The RV Kindat Pandaw
is just one river vessel in The Irrawaddy Flotilla Company dating from 1865. Interestingly, at one time it had 200 vessels plying the river, but all were intentionally sunk during World War II to prevent them from falling into Japanese hands. Some are now being raised from the river bottom.
