Paul Gauguin Cruises is composed of two ships: The Paul Gauguin, built in France in 1998 and previously marketed by Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and the newer, much smaller, Moana. Both ships are operated and marketed by Pacific Beachcomber, which operates six luxury resort hotels in the islands, four of them part of the InterContinental chain.
