Built in 1999 for Renaissance Cruises as its R4, this cruise ship passed to Princess in late 2002. The midsized, 30,200-ton Ocean Princess carries 670 passengers with a Bermuda registry.

In November 2009, after leaving Tahiti permanently, she underwent a refit in Singapore, dropped the former name Tahitian Princess and reappeared as virtually the same ship offering the same long, exotic itineraries. She is similar to the Pacific Princess in layout and amenities.
