Viking Schumann travel42 Professional Ship Review
Built in Germany in 1991 for the KD Rhine line, the Viking Schumann
was acquired by Viking and now travels along European waterways from early spring to late fall at a speed of up to 16 knots.
It is 311 ft long and 36 ft wide; its officers and crew are mostly German; and its passengers are mainly English speakers. The ship and its sister, Viking Fontane, were designed to slide under low bridges with a shallow draft.
