Bermuda getting back to normal By Gay Nagle Myers / September 21, 2010 Share 1 -- Bermuda is back in business after Hurricane Igor proved far less devastating than predicted. Power has been restored to all but 3,000 customers; the airport and Causeway have reopened; public transport buses are running; and the ferry in Hamilton is back in operation. Most hotels are open for business or will be by Thursday, including Pink Beach Club. An announcement regarding the reopening of the cruise ports is expected by late Tuesday. Three babies were born during Igor's visit, and all are healthy. No word yet on whether Igor will be the name of choice for any of the three. The Bermuda Music Festival will take place as planned at the Fairmont Southampton from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, while the PGA Grand Slam of Golf will take place at the Port Royal Golf Club Oct. 18 to 20.
