CO to add daily nonstops from Newark to Jamaica May 17, 2001 Share 1 -- MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica -- Getting clients to Jamaica next winter just got a little easier. Continental Airlines announced it will inaugurate a daily nonstop flight from its Newark hub to Montego Bay starting Dec. 13. The flight will continue on to Kingston."Adding Montego Bay and Kingston to our international network will bring us to 49 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean," said Pete Garcia, Continental staff vice president for sales and marketing, Caribbean and Latin America."With this new service, we are making Continental a stronger airline in the region by providing more options for both leisure and business customers."The new flight is scheduled to depart Newark at 9 a.m. and arrive in Montego Bay at 12:40 p.m. The flight leaves Montego Bay for Kingston at 1:30 p.m, arriving at 2:05 p.m. The return flight will depart Kingston at 3 p.m. and arrive in Newark at 6:45 p.m.Continental will operate the route aboard a 737-800 aircraft equipped with 14 first class and 141 economy class seats.
