Cambridge Beaches features new look By Tara Rosa / May 15, 2001 Share 1 -- SOMERSET, Bermuda -- Located on a 25-acre peninsula here, the Cambridge Beaches resort re-opened April 1 with a new look and a new manager. Following a four-month, $9 million renovation, the property refurbished its cottage-style rooms, restaurant and the reception area.The resort's exterior received a fresh coat of paint and added new plumbing, underground electrical wiring and landscaping."The $9 million going in this year has ensured that we can continue to hold our heads up with pride among the top resorts in the world," said Michael Winfield, Cambridge Beaches president. Also part of the overall renovation project, 18 new units are to be available by August, bringing the property's total rooms inventory to 92.
