Carriers add to Vegas airlift January 10, 2002 Share 1 -- LAS VEGAS -- Getting to Vegas just got a little easier. Four carriers -- Midwest Express Airlines, National Airlines, Frontier Airlines and Air Canada -- have expanded their service to the desert city from various departure points. The new service details follow:• Between March 2 and May 31, Midwest Express will add a roundtrip flight between Milwaukee and Las Vegas twice weekly.One flight will depart Las Vegas at 12:30 a.m. and arrive in Milwaukee at 5:50 a.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.The other flight will depart Milwaukee at 10 p.m. and arrive in Las Vegas at 11:50 p.m. Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.• National Airlines last month added three roundtrips from its Las Vegas hub to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago's O'Hare.With the service additions, the carrier operates three flights to O'Hare and seven flights each to Los Angeles and San Francisco.• Frontier Airlines will increase frequency from its Denver hub to Las Vegas, effective Jan. 17. With the schedule additions, the carrier now will offer four daily roundtrips to Las Vegas.• Air Canada launched nonstop service between Las Vegas and Vancouver and Calgary, Alberta. Flights on both routes will operate on Thursdays and Sundays.Air Canada offers Las Vegas travelers an 11:55 p.m. departure for Vancouver, with arrival at 2:17 a.m. From Vancouver, flights depart at 8:45 p.m., arriving in Las Vegas at 11 p.m.To Calgary, flights will depart Las Vegas at 11 p.m., arriving at 2:27 a.m. From Calgary, departure is at 8:30 p.m., with arrival in Las Vegas at 9:59 p.m.
