Circle Line to welcome two new vessels By Nadine Godwin / June 09, 2009 Share 1 -- Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises set a June 20 naming ceremony for the newest vessels to join its fleet, the Circle Line Queens and Circle Line Brooklyn, each named for a New York City borough. The naming will occur at 10:30 a.m. on Pier 81 on the Hudson River. The event will be part of on-pier festivities, dubbed Carnival Day, celebrating the arrival of the vessels and benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York. Circle Line will treat guests to a barbecue and complimentary cruises to the Statue of Liberty and back. Prospective guests are advised to visit Circle Line's website, at www.CircleLine42.com, to download and print as many as four vouchers for $1 each. The vouchers will provide preferred access to the event, whereas guests without vouchers will not be guaranteed admittance. All proceeds from the event (slated for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) will go to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York, and attendees will be encouraged to make on-site donations, as well.
