Delta Vacations offers a $25 booking bonus August 18, 2001 Share 1 -- FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Delta Vacations' newest incentive in its lineup of fall promotions is a $25 agent bonus on bookings to Nassau, Bahamas, and Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. Ted Mooney, president of Delta Vacations, called the Caribbean "one of our biggest success stories this year.""With Nassau, Aruba, Jamaica and St. Thomas leading the way, our Caribbean business has increased more than 35% over last year," Mooney said.The current promotions, which include a 35% discount on select packages to Nassau and Grand Cayman, bode well for the winter season, according to Mooney.Savings to Nassau are valid for packages at six properties for travel between Sept. 1 and Dec. 1.The six properties are the British Colonial Hilton, Comfort Suites Paradise Island, Radisson Cable Beach Casino & Golf Resort, Sheraton Grand Resort, Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort & Spa and the Clarion Resort South Ocean.Participating properties on Grand Cayman include Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman, Sunshine Suites and Treasure Island Resort.For Grand Cayman, travel must be completed by Dec. 1.Another Cayman Islands promotion includes a 20% discount on the air portion of Delta Vacations packages, a free fifth night at 11 participating hotels and discounts on dining, golf and water sports. Kids ages 12 and under eat free.Eligible bookings must be made by Oct. 15 and travel completed by Oct. 31. A minimum five-night stay is required.Delta Vacations also offers a free companion ticket to Puerto Rico for new bookings made through Sept. 30 for travel from Sept. 1 through Nov. 14.The package carries no blackout dates, no minimum stay and is valid at 14 resorts.Clients booking minimum five-night-stay Delta Vacations packages at a choice of 11 resorts in Puerto Rico get the fifth night free, a room upgrade and discounts on shops and attractions.Bookings must be made by Oct. 31 and travel completed by Dec. 18.Clients booking a minimum five-night Delta Vacations package at a choice of eight resorts in St. Thomas are automatically entered into a vacation contest. The grand prize is a return trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands.They also receive an island tour, a disposable camera and an American Paradise card with up to $1,000 in shopping discounts.Eligible bookings must be made by Dec. 5, and travel must be completed by Dec. 15.In addition to the fall promotions, Delta Vacations' Carib-bean product is enhanced by new service on Delta and Air Jamaica.
