Fla. resort eases criteria for higher pay October 06, 1998 Share 1 -- AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. -- Amelia Island Plantation revised its commission structure by lowering the threshold necessary to earn 14% pay. The 700-unit resort had offered agents 14% pay once they sold $10,000 worth of room nights. Now, agents begin earning 14% commissions once they book $5,000 worth of room revenue through Dec. 31. Agents typically earn 10% for accommodations sales. Agencies that book conference groups generating $12,000 worth of commissionable room revenues through the end of the year will qualify for the 14% pay. Combinations of rooms booked for individuals and groups that total $12,000 also make agents eligible for the higher commission. Amelia Island Plantation, Phone: (888) 261-6164, then press 4.
