Grand Bahama Vacations sets 20% pay on group bookings October 04, 2002 Share 1 -- FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Grand Bahama Vacations introduced a 20% commission plan and other incentives for agents who book new groups of at least 20 paid passengers into the Royal Oasis Golf Resort & Casino on Grand Bahama Island. Rates depend on the departure city. The groups must travel on designated Laker Airways flights to Freeport, Bahamas, operated through Dec. 25. Departure airports are Cincinnati; Cleveland; Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; Richmond, Va.; St. Louis; and Washington (BWI).In addition to earning the 20% base pay, there is a 15% commission on all options sold to the group, including the resort's Pizazz inclusive features.The Pizzaz add-on costs $279 per person for three nights; $369 for four and $669 for seven. Features are three meals daily at any Royal Oasis dining outlet, or the weekday poolside steak fry dinners.Also included in Pizzaz are the Goombaya Native Show with a buffet dinner, day and night tennis, other recreation, use of the fitness center and the FunSpree children's program.Groups stay at a discount of $20 per night off the published Holiday Inn Sunspree standard rate, with the option of upgrading at regular cost to other acocmmodations. (The Holiday Inn and the Crowne Plaza are the hotels at the Royal Oasis complex.)
