Islands Institute Program to Market Small Hotels April 17, 1997 Share 1 -- Reed Travel FeaturesNASSAU, Bahamas -- The Small Treasures program comprises 12 hotels in three categories.The program, instituted in cooperation with the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, the Nassau-Paradise Island Promotion Board and the Bahamas Hotel Association, will showcase the 12 properties with trade advertising, exposure at major trade shows and fam trips for agents.The key element of the program is its Travel Agent Advisory Committee, which will conduct regular, unannounced inspections of the participating properties to ensure that quality levels are maintained.A new promotional guide, to be released this month, will contain photos, descriptions and rates for all members.Participating in the program are Bay View Village, Casuarinas Hotel and Villas, Club Land' Or, Compass Point, Dillet's Guest House, Orange Hill Beach Inn, Paradise Harbour Club, Paradise Paradise, Red Carpet Inn, Sunrise Beach Club and Villas, Sunshine Paradise Suites and the Villas on Crystal Cay.Following are rates for the properties described in the accompanying story (Page C3):* Club Land' Or. Through Dec. 20, rates range from $155 to $185, excluding taxes and other charges.
