Line to add five-star ship to river fleet October 23, 2001 Share 1 -- NEW YORK -- The Frederic Chopin, Peter Deilmann Cruises' new ship, will be the star of the firm's 10-ship fleet on Europe's rivers next year. The 79-passenger Frederic Chopin makes its debut March 23 and will sail a seven-month season of varied cruises on the Oder, Elbe and Vtlava rivers as and other rivers and canals. According to Deilmann officials, the Frederic Chopin will offer the only 14-day continuous cruises between Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Prague, Czech Republic, as well as new itineraries through eastern Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.Rates for a seven-day cruise start at $1,555 per person. Sailings also will be made to nature reserves and birding sites in Germany and Poland. Itineraries are detailed in the firm's 2002 Great Rivers of Europe brochure.
